Giving Respite to Caregivers
CaringWheels provide a few main services to help caregivers and we are opening doors to kind-hearted individuals who would like to volunteer their time to support the caregivers community!

Volunteer Registration Process
Not to worry! Here is an insight of what to expect once you register your interest with us as a volunteer.

1. Send Application
Complete the membership registration form and tick “I want to be a Volunteer”. Upon submission, we will look into your application and contact you again.

2. Onboard Briefing
Once you’ve been selected as a volunteer, we will start you up with a physical/online briefing of our company, programmes, services and your roles and responsibilities.

3. Training
Each role will have its training programme to ensure that you have the knowledge and confidence in your area of interest.

4. Volunteer!
Now that you have the knowledge and confidence, you will be assigned based on your monthly availability. Opt-in for ad-hoc updates to receive more volunteering opportunities.

Medical Chaperone
As a medical chaperone, you would ensure the wellbeing and safety of the care recipient throughout the medical appointment. This also involves providing necessary physical assistance such as mobility and navigation, and offering emotional support and companionship. At the end of the trip, to relay the doctor’s advice to the caregiver.
Careful: Ensure the safety and comfort of the care recipient.
Attentive: Listen and clarify any advice given by the doctor.

Care Aide
As a care aide, you would be involved in providing hands-on assistance with personal care tasks such as changing of clothes or toileting, as well as being a companion and emotional support to the care recipient.
Empathetic: Listen and understand the struggles of the caregiver.
Caring: Support the caregiver in tasks to help ease his/ her stress.

Skill-based Volunteer
A volunteer can contribute his/ her skills and talents to support CaringWheels’ programmes, for example, copywriting, videography, content creation, etc.
Team-Oriented: Shares his/ her skills to support group efforts and help others grow.
Reliable: Meets deadlines and shows up when expected. Understands the importance of consistency in volunteer work.

Caregiving Instructor
Empower caregivers and volunteers with practical skills and compassionate approaches to caregiving. Using thoughtfully developed materials provided by CaringWheels, you’ll help conduct or co-facilitate training sessions designed to build confidence, competence, and care-centered knowledge.
Leadership: Lead with empathy and guide sessions in a group setting.
Organised: Ensure that the session is conducted smoothly, participants stay engaged, and learning objectives are met.

Fund Raising
A volunteer will be able to fund-raise or donate via our website or Member’s Portal to help support our programmes and services for caregivers
Trustworthy: Handles donations and donor information with integrity and confidentiality.
Passion: Genuinely believes in and supports the mission of CaringWheels.
